Born in the Pacific Northwest of Canada, Lindsay Dakota paints in a way that conveys the nature, emotion and beauty of this rugged region.
Throughout his life, Lindsay has been a designer and artist, seamlessly blending the multiple disciplines… each one, informing the other.
From crafting the intricate forms prior to stretching the canvas, Lindsay paints in both oils and acrylics, depending on what the subject matter calls for.
The unique, three dimensional, sculptural paintings aim to create a physical experience from the subject matter through creating these paintings by separating the elements into multiple forms. By doing so, the viewer becomes an integral part of what they are looking at.
Lindsay Dakota currently resides and works on a small island in Washington State.
